Reception & Celebration
Thursday, June 19 | 4:00–8:00 PM
The Waldo Theatre & Custom House, Waldoboro
- 4:00–6:00 PM — Art reception at The Waldo Theatre, featuring a 5:00 PM gallery conversation with the artists.
- 6:00–8:00 PM — Right next door at the Custom House (908 Main Street) and in partnership with the Lincoln County Recovery Community Center and Open House of History, an evening of art, music and performance by community members in recovery from addiction and other struggles. Through song, story, and creativity, we’ll experience how lives affected by hardship have opened paths to hope. Some performers will share how art has helped them process their histories— and how we can build on that healing together.
Project Partners
A program of commonspace, Lincoln County Recovery Community Center supports the people, families and communities of Lincoln County that are impacted by substance use by providing one-on-one recovery coaching, support groups, links to community resources, vocational opportunities, and events that celebrate recovery and that promote community strength and connection.
Housed in the former Custom House in Waldoboro, Maine, The Open House of History is a community-centered space to build empathy and connection through history and an emotional engagement with the past.
Through programs including after-school activities, a signature youth arts program, summer workshops and other events, the Waldo Theatre seeks to enrich and enhance the region’s cultural offerings for its residents, particularly its youth, and enhance the quality of life for all.
We extend our sincere thanks to Hannaford Supermarkets for their generous in-kind food support, which helps nourish our community and strengthen our shared commitment to well-being.
