One county. Nineteen towns. Twenty people willing to tell the truth about substance use disorder: some living with it, some working to address it, one without a home to return to. Over two years, documentary photographer Hannah Latham created their portraits – images and stories that challenge stigma and name what rural communities too often leave unspoken.
