What Objects Want

Created during Peter Bruun's tenure as founding director of Art on PurposeWhat Objects Want (held at The Park School of Baltimore) explored the emotional power objects of all kinds have over our lives.

Artist Peggy Diggs shared a piece comprised of objects of all kinds found at her father's home after his passing. Objects from the mundane to the exotic take on talisman-like power when there is emotional attachment.

Baltimore-based artist Zoe Charlton created an installation exploring stereotype and fantasy using in part African tourist art from Park School's collection. The exhibition cast a wide net in its look at the meaning of objects in our lives.
